Rev. Sue Rolls
I came to the South Derbyshire Circuit in September 2007, following seven years as a minister in Basingstoke. Before entering the ministry I worked as an educational psychologist in Nottinghamshire.
I feel completely Ďat homeí in South Derbyshire and am enjoying my ministry here as we prayerfully seek to discern the ways in which God is calling us to journey and grow as individuals and as church communities.
I believe that churches should be welcoming, inclusive and life giving communities where people can find healing and respect and where there is mutual encouragement to learn together; to grow in Godís love and to be open to the surprise of God.
I also believe that church communities should be outward looking, seeking to connect with and serve the local neighbourhoods in which they are set and the world neighbourhood of which we are all a part.
I relax by walking in the countryside- Calke Abbey is one of my local favourites. I also enjoy reading, gardening, doing Sudoku and spending time with family and friends.
